Cancer Awareness Roadshow
On Tuesday 15th April we took part in the Cancer Awareness Roadshow!
It’s the fourth year in a row that we’ve been present at this important event, which is run by Cancer Research UK to educate people on life changes that lower cancer risk.
Around 38% of cancer cases in the UK are considered preventable, with smoking, obesity and alcohol consumption all being major contributors. With this in mind, we took part to meet the public and showcase our five healthy lifestyle programmes for Haringey residents, which all reduce cancer risk.
Cancer Research UK
Nurses from Cancer Research UK worked with our team to educate people about our programmes and explain exactly how they help cut cancer risk. It was an eye-opening experience for many who referred themselves to our free programmes on the spot.
Joining with like-minded organisations to meet the public was an honour for our team.
We love collaborating with Cancer Research UK and we can’t wait to make our 5th appearance at the Roadshow in 2026!
