Shared Nurse Team
Supporting practices in Haringey to meet their permanent nurse staffing needs.
The Shared Nurse Team service provides practices with nurses through recruitment and training to source and develop the nursing skills needed in Haringey general practices.
The goal is to support all practices in Haringey with an affordable, flexible model which meets their permanent nurse staffing needs.
This project is steadily increasing the nursing workforce in Haringey and supporting the provision of responsive care for Haringey residents.
Results and Impact
- 10 practices are benefitting from this service
- 10 nurses have been recruited and trained
A combination of practical and theoretical training provides the optimum development approach for practice nursing in our borough. This is allowing exploration of wider training opportunities such as fellowships, particularly for training of nurses who are new to general practice.
